Five Women Wearing the Same Dress

Five Women Wearing the Same Dress
SOFIA - Bulgarian Army Theater, 98 Rakovski Street
Dear audience, dear guests, welcome to our wedding!
Make yourselves comfortable, take a deep breath—because there’s a strong chance it may be taken away from you. Have a glass of champagne for courage, because the incredible bridesmaids of this grand event have prepared unimaginable fun for you.

Tracy and Scott have gathered us here to celebrate…
Let’s be honest—“Five Women Wearing the Same Dress” is not a performance about Tracy and Scott or their wedding, but about their bridesmaids—Meredith (Evelin Kostova), Georgeanne (Anastasia Ingilizova), Trisha (Lara Zlatareva), Frances (Dariya Dimitrova), and Mindy (Liza Shopova), who will reveal to the audience their inner worlds, femininity, and determination. Their meeting at this event is more than unexpected, and their growing closeness—even more so. Despite everything, there is something that unites them…

The show they have prepared will not only bring the audience to tears of laughter but will also leave everyone in the hall asking: “Which one of them am I?”

“The well-known phrase goes: ‘The performance is destined for success!’ A lack of modesty is ‘typical’ of people in the arts, but in this case I am absolutely convinced that there are two serious reasons for the predicted success of the play ‘Five Women Wearing the Same Dress.’ First and foremost—the author! Alan Ball (Academy Award winner for the screenplay of American Beauty) brings together five women, dresses them in identical gowns, and assigns them the roles of bridesmaids. That alone is already an event!

In love, vulnerable, sensitive, romantic, greedy, shameless… Drunk and intoxicated, possessed by the desire to own and to be owned. By him!!! The one and only, irresistible, charming seducer! Five women speak the way only real women know how to speak! In the way only they can make us cry with laughter! ‘Five Women Wearing the Same Dress’ is a glimpse through the keyhole of the wedding boudoir…”
