About the play:
A lonely yet still young woman faces a choice: a wealthy and influential man proposes marriage. The prelude to it is a trip to Paris. His appearances are in the style of old-time aristocrats, though in modern Russia — a luxurious Bentley instead of a carriage and the inevitable crates of champagne. His rival has nothing to offer but his love. The woman’s decision seems illogical — or perhaps not. Maybe it fits the idea of “female logic,” as the renowned Ukrainian playwright titled his work. “A lyrical comedy about love” — this is how theater critics in Anatoliy Krym’s homeland describe the play after many of its productions.
