The Iron Boy
Dear children,
An old piece of iron, a forge, and a few children are enough to make a robot. They built him in their own image and likeness, and he can march and wave his arms. But they forgot to teach him the most important thing, and so the robot sets out into the world, leaving destruction everywhere along his way. In his adventures, the Iron Boy faces terrifying scarecrows, fierce and cruel robots, winds and whirlwinds, and the all-powerful thousand-toothed Rust, who teach him what tickles his knee and what a tear tastes like. And, as in fairy tales, in the end magic happens, turning the steel spring into a real heart that whispers: "I’m here, I’m here!"
Dear adults,
Our performance is not just a play for children. There is something in it for you as well. Something you forgot or lost when you became iron people. This is no fairy tale, but the very truth that will remind you what it is like to run against the wind, ride a bicycle, kick a ball. It will remind you of the first tear, the tickle, the scar born of courage, and above all how important it is to have a feather.
Come to the theatre, because there we can remember that we are real human beings.
