“Ladies Invite” – Todor Kolev Festival is a cult classic, staged in theatre form for the first time ever, based on the iconic novel by Georgi Mishev. Combining subtle humor, warm melancholy, and painfully accurate observations about love, loneliness, and human illusions, the production transforms a familiar story into a vivid theatrical experience.
This is not simply an adaptation of a famous title. It is a reunion with lines that have long become part of our language, our sense of humor, and the way we look at love — slightly naïve, sometimes desperate, but always with a smile and hope:
“You will stay silent! When you speak to me, you will stay silent!”
“Five kilometers there, five kilometers back — I’ve worn out an entire train wagon of passengers…”
