Dr. Prentice is looking for a new secretary, but what seems like a routine interview quickly spirals into a whirlwind of mistaken identities, dressing and undressing, unexpected inspections, and situations on the edge of scandal. In a world where “normal” is relative, the line between doctor and patient begins to dangerously blur.
The author, Joe Orton, remains one of the most radical and provocative British playwrights, whose comedies attack hypocrisy, authority, and moral clichés with sharp wit and merciless irony. Although his life ended tragically, his work continues to captivate audiences around the world.
